Catching Pneumonia (or "Rain")

We are really bad at blogging. Sorry. However, we're finally getting around to it after being in Tallahassee for the past month. I promise I'll bring my camera more awesome places. These pictures were taken at the first home game of the season where it poured. Taylor and I have some fierce school spirit and waited out lots of rain to see about a minute of game play before the next rain delay. It was basically awesome. We like FSU.

Love, Marcia

Marcia lied. Neither of us are bad ad blogging; we are just busy/lazy.

I titled this post "Rain" after the song by the same title by a band called Bishop Allen. You should listen to it. After a spring semester of some of the most depressing rain experienced in the history of planet Earth, tonight's rain, despite the game delays, was an enormous sigh of relief. In the couple of hours that we sat waiting, we managed to (probably) loose our voices (we'll know for sure tomorrow), make fun of our school (but mostly the students at our school) in a variety of ways, and take a series of strange and humorous photos. Enjoy.

Love (truly), Taylor

Long Overdue!

I know it seems like we've ditched this blog but we've really just been quite busy working, scheming and wishing we were in Tallahassee. The pictures above are from quite possibly the best date to date. To celebrate our six month of dating, Taylor planned a Disney extravaganza. We went to MGM- er- Hollywood Studios to ride the new Toy Story ride that I've been obsessing over. It was so worth it! Amazing and way fun. Then we rode a ferry to the Beach and Yacht Club and ate adorably tricksy French ice cream. Then it was off to EPCOT! We saw our future a few times and went on a Norwegian boat ride like no other. We laughed at tourist in plastic ponchos and watched a video on the beauty of France. Then it was off to the main reason for our Disney excursion and Taylor's pride of planning, the fancy Bistro de Paris. We dined on duck and escargot, frog legs and creme brulee. Mmm. This was by far the best meal ever with the best date ever. To top of our fantastic evening we watched the fireworks from our French restaurant as we sipped tea and coffee.  The perfectly planned date made me feel so loved and cherished. I felt and feel so honored that someone would go through such detailed planning to spend a day with me. This truly made me love not only the past six months but look forward to the future months even more!

Fika!

According to Ikea, "fika" is what we say when we take a coffee break. Until about five minutes ago, the actual meaning of the word "fika" was unknown to me, but, thanks to wikipedia, I have just discovered that it is a verb that roughly translates "to drink coffee". The use of this word generally implies a break from work or a social activity with friends or on a date, so I think that this word sums up the pictures in this post. The only mystery left to solve regards the information from Ikea: I would not normally say "to drink coffee!" while taking a coffee break, so why would anyone say the equivalent in Swedish?

In any case, this summer has been a busy one for Marcia and me. We both work about 40 hours a week, leaving little time for such things as blogging. Since I've posted, I have finished my first year of college, worked at five different Starbucks, bought a car, wrecked a car, got a second job, been fired from my second job, and made approximately 23,492 lattes. But I finally have a long enough break from coffee to post some pictures.

The first of these two was taken at the Coffee Pub in Tallahassee. Coffee shops in Tallahassee mean a lot to Marcia and me, and this is one of the best. If I remember correctly, this picture was taken on April 8. three months after Marcia and I began dating. The second picture was taken more recently in one of the Orlando Starbucks that I've spent a lot of time in. I'm not sure why we took this picture, but I'm sure there was a good reason at the time. At least, I probably thought there was a good reason at the time while Marcia was trying to figure out how in the world I thought this was a good idea.

We have more pictures coming, and will have way more after July 8, the day marking six months of dating, though only I have any idea where those pictures will be taken. Now it's a surprise for both Marcia and anyone who's reading our blog. Check back soon!

Take Your Boyfriend to Work Day

Well, kids. After a blogging hiatus due to lots of work, we're back with some cute pictures to share. Taylor and I went to Universal for our Saturday off. It was really fun to get to spend the day using my sweet hookups and it was even better to get to spend the entire day with Taylor. It was great to get to be a guest but it was even better to ride some pretty sweet roller-coasters  with my boyfriend. These pictures show us being silly in Seuss Landing and us chilling at my current place of employment. Have a Dino-mite day, friends!

Two Weeks in Hawaii

Well, neither of us have the time or the money to spend two weeks in Hawaii but we can venture into the tourist trap of I-drive for some Hawaiian mini-golf. It turns out neither us are really that good at mini-golf but in our defense the Hawaiian rumble mini-golf course is deceiving. I'd like to meet someone who can play that course on par.  I had a lot of fun. I think the last time I went mini-golfing was the eighth grade so it was fun to get to be a kid again. It was so nice to get to spend the evening with Taylor. We're both so busy these days.  We topped our night off with peach italian soda, a Tallahassee favorite that only made us miss Tallahassee more.

Aloha,
Marcia

World Spins Madly On

This has been a crazy busy week. I started working at Jurassic Park, which has been fun but quite time consuming so I haven't had the chance to see Taylor too much. It makes me quite sad but thankfully I have all this cute pictures to look at and breaks and cell phones are my new favorite things. These pictures were taken at Lake Eola. We stopped at this cute tea/ coffee shop on our way home from summer conference. I like the one by the lake the best. Even though it was windy it still turned out pretty cute. Well, I'm quite tired. Off to bed for me.

Sleepy time she comes,

"Let's Get Some Shoes"

What would you all do if you'd been dating for four months? Would you hit the mall and try on ridiculous clothes at stores you'd never actually purchase clothes from? That's exactly what Taylor and I would do. The first of these is a Hollister pose. Too bad you can't see the super-ripped jeans we're wearing. The next of these silly pictures is obviously an American Eagle shot. You can clearly see this from our t-shirts. Yay for brand names and miniskirts. The last pictures shows that we have not lost our minds and are still the same trindie kids that you already love; we hope.

Keep it real,
Marcia

The Kids Don't Stand a Chance

Everyone should get to be a little kid again. Taylor and I ventured in to the wonderful land of bright lights and cheap skee ball for a few minutes. These pictures are a result of the super-cool Chuck E. Cheese sketch maker. Though my favorite game is no longer available to be played by youngsters, we did manage to play a round of skee ball. Collectively we won 6 tickets. Obviously, we make a good team. =) Maybe next time we'll have enough tickets to buy something awesome (like a tootsie roll)! Hopeful your summer lets you be a kid again. If not, call us up and we'll gladly remind you of your six year-old self pronto.

Silly putty and tamagatchi,
Marcia

Goodwill Hunting

After too long of a hiatus, we've finally taken pictures and found the time to post on our silly and cute blog. The first of these pictures is a fashion trend that shouldn't exist. Overalls? Gross. Tim Gunn wouldn't approve, and neither do we. The second photo is entitled "Super Tacky Prom". I think that says enough about that. Prom is bad. However, prom in these outfits would be worse. More pictures from our tacky prom will be posted for a better idea of extreme tackiness. In conclusion, happy summer.

No se,
Marcia

Silly Faces

Hello friends! I figured it was time to post some more pictures and thankfully we have a stockpile of maclay gardens pictures to choose from. Taylor and I are always making silly faces at each other. Actually, I have been making silly faces since the womb but now I can make them at a cute boy. These are two quite common faces. Both are cute. Both make me smile a good bit. Hope you find them as cute as we do.
Love Always,
Marcia

Fresh Feeling

Howdy!

With so many beautiful pictures from Maclay Gardens, it's hard to choose only a couple to write about. Here are two of my personal favorites. Funny story: the first of these pictures was a scary experience for Marcia. Not only did she have to sit very close to me while it was taken (which is obviously scary), but she also was almost attacked by bumble bees several times, probably due to the fact that we put flowers behind our ears. The second was less intense but more itchy. But both were worth the risks; just look at them!

Fields of White Flowers

After my last debacle with the maclay pictures Taylor so graciously took me on another trip to recreate some of those pictures. I am absolutely in love with maclay gardens and specifically the white flowers that are currently in bloom. Seriously, they are way beautiful. These pictures may even be cuter than the ones we previously took and were certainly fun to take. I am quite thankful that I have such a boyfriend who would walk through these gardens several times with me. I'm quite blessed, indeed. More pictures will definitely be posted in the coming days but these are two of my favorites.

Dear friends,

Look at these pictures; so cute!

Black and white, Easter.

And dress. Glorious.

All Deliberate Speed

Happy Easter! Today is actually Easter. If you were unaware, then shame on you.  This is probably because Easter is a little early this year. To celebrate this day we did what all good little kids do; we went to church. It was a happy day. Afterwards, we attended a splendidly amusing lunch at the Rubottom's. Too fun. Then we stopped by a park to take some adorable springtime pictures. Enjoy? I hope so.

Oh, It Is Love

Who likes picnics? We do. This weekend was far superior to the unbelievable hellish spring break Taylor and I just went through. We're actually only going to count the weekend as a break because breaks are peaceful and that's exactly what this weekend was. We saw No Country For Old Men at the semi-sketchy dollar theater. Went on a trip to target. (Oh, no.) Church. We like our church a good bit. However, the keystone to these pictures is the picnic we got to take after church. We were planning to have a picnic before we left for Orlando but these plans were thwarted.  Fear not, friends; we managed to get back to our plans. Our plans involve happiness, peace, love, silliness and super-cute pictures. Enjoy.
Oh, and thanks for the new camera, parents!
Love,

In Motion

Dearest Friends,
While it may seem that our lives are at a stand still this week, really our lives are in motion. In a literal sense we were both in motion as we traveled to Orlando for spring break. This means lots of anxiety on both parts.  For Taylor it means long talks and for me it means lots of waiting. However, things are spinning and we have hope that everything will come out more than okay. We both have a peace that is way beyond our own doing. It's intense but unexplainable. Pray about us if you get a chance. It would mean a lot. The pictures above are quintessential of who we are. Cute. Ridiculous. Funny. Happy. Through it all we're smiling. So, friends, smile.
Love, Marcia

A New Law

Dear friends,
Only one picture is required to demonstrate the past weekend and the week that Marcia and I began today. Taken on our first date, this photo is our sarcastic mockery of the idea of courting. The bench itself has a bar in the middle, which originally led us to call it a "courting bench", however, after a little consideration, we decided that the bar is there to keep the homeless from sleeping on them. Still, it made for a silly picture, again taken by my sweet self-timer skills, and sadly illustrates a confrontational week with my parents and the longest time that Marcia and I have gone without seeing each other since we've been dating. We'll post a happier picture or two at some point because, in spite of the circumstances, we are going to be okay, in fact, more than okay.
Love always,
Taylor

Happiness is a Warm Gun

Forgive us for the lack of pictures. Hopefully you don't look like this crazy picture. However, it would be understandable. Don't turn blue. Keep breathing.

All You Need Is Love

If you are reading this post and have not seen Across the Universe then I have a question for you: Are we friends? No, but seriously this psychedelic  menagerie of sorts is straight out of the trippy section of that movie. If you've seen this movie then you'd know it's somewhere between "I am the Walrus" and "Because" We might as well be Jude and Lucy except Taylor would refuse to be Jude because he hates the mini-mullet and I am so not Lucy because my hair is not stick straight. (Can you tell hair is an integral part of our relationship?) However, like the hippies we do believe in lots of peace. Paz, Pax, Béke, 和 平。

Chasing Rainbows

While rainbows are full of color, these photos are not. Why? We're just that trendy and happen to look excellent in black and white. The first of today's silly pictures is what happens when Taylor discovers that if I part my hair to the side I can have a swoop. It is apparent from this picture that only one of us can aptly pull off the swoop and it is not me. The second of today's black and white photos is a cute hoodie moment from a while ago. Our hoodies aren't actually the same. Taylor has a green American Apparel hoodie while I own a black hoodie that I believe is from The Gap, but, nevertheless, it's a pretty great picture. In conclusion, we're cute. Enough said.

You Picked Me

Well, today we saw The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and in its super- amazing indieness we felt the need to post a somewhat serio-indie post. The first of these pictures is taken stealthily with a self-timed camera strategically placed in a tree! Yes, in a tree. That's how we get this sort of off-centered, purposely cute picture with an awesome vine hanging in front of us. Off-center= indie. Why? The indie kid's world is off-centered. Ha, I'm ridiculous. The next picture is basically an indie kid's dream. You can't even see our faces but we're connected. Woah. Seriously, any more indie and we'd be an obscure band you've never heard about.  Ha, that's enough sarcasm and cultural stereotyping for tonight, my dears.

Marvelous Marcia and Trusty Taylor

Dear friends,
Have you ever wondered what Marcia and I would look like in a comic book? Fear not! Thanks to a trendy macbook and our togetherness, you can see exactly that in our blog! These two pictures were taken in Panama City during a beautiful sunset on the gulf. To make the idea of us being in a comic book more realistic, I titled the blog with fitting superhero names, though mine sounds more like a name for a sidekick. Stay tuned for more sweet pictures to come.
Love, Taylor

Sleeping to Dream

Well kids, here are some more pictures from our trip to Panama City. We lucked out because the weather was absolutely gorgeous and now the weather is quite dismal. I think this is one of the few times the weather has cooperated with our plans.  Apropos? I hope so. I particularly love the second picture I posted. I feel like it's quite serene. Great facial expressions. Peace never looked so cute. Well, back to the daily grind and by that I mean spanish homework. Boo.

Studious Saturday (a la playa)

Word up.
We are sooooo studious, even at the beach. Dang. However, Freud + ocean = love. Freud is way jealous of how cute these pictures turned out. In the first of these two, Marcia is making her cute reading face, while Taylor is creepily looking like Freud. After reading Freud for longer than we would have liked, we returned to the beach for the sunset. Watching the sunset is on our list of things to do. We succeeded. At the same time, we managed to capture several amazing photos. With the help of an uber-trendy macbook, this sweet self-timed photo captures us being beyond happy, and we believe this is an excellent way to spend Taylor's nineteenth birthday. Most excellent.

Straight Priorities

Be excited! These pictures are actually new. Not much to report in our quaint existence. School with all its classes, tests and homework does not allow one much time to be cute but we struggle on nonetheless. These pictures were taken during a study break. I'll have you know Taylor and I are both excellent at foreign languages and quite studious because foreign languages are way time consuming. These pictures were taken amidst all the studiousness. We're happy even when we study. Silly us.

Such Great Heights

Hello to all! Today Marcia and I had a case of the Mondays, so we didn't take any new pictures. Instead, we are posting two pictures taken at different times but that have a common theme. In one, Marcia attempted to fly, but instead she landed in my arms. That's actually a lie. I'm just really spontaneous and good with digital camera self-timers. In the other, our artsy selves were attending "First Friday" at Railroad Square where we discovered wings. Thanks again to Kayla for her photography skills. For now, we're waving from far away, but there are more pictures to come soon. Love, Taylor
